I know this is such a fun to talk with people from other countries and get to know them better. But please always remember to be cautious about giving away personal information such as telephone numbers, postal address and so on. There are many internet-related crimes these days and I am outraged whenever i hear it on radio or on TV. It is true that most of the victims are women, especially girls. But I don't mean to imply that all people have a sinister motive. I just want you to be careful about that, especially meeting people on the internet in person. You know, communications via a medium of only written words can be taken in a different way than one intends. So if you don't want anything to do with some people, i think the best course of action you might take is to be explicit about it. Anyway i hope you goodluck with your studies. |
